Greetings from PLAI-STRLC!
Philippine
Librarians Association, Inc.-Southern Tagalog Region Librarians Council
cordially invites you to a “Forum on the
Cataloguing Policy Statements and RDA Guidelines for Philippine Libraries
on February 13, 2015 at LRC Annex, Sen. Jose Diokno Building, De La Salle Lipa,
1962 JP Laurel Highway, Lipa City.
The forum aims
to provide an avenue to disseminate and discuss the salient points/features of
the adopted Cataloguing Policy Statements and RDA Guidelines for Philippine
Libraries. Likewise, it is an opportunity for the participants to clarify with
our resource speaker Dr. Sonia M. Gementiza, Library Director of the De La
Salle University-Dasmarinas during the open forum the changes in the new
cataloguing policy in order to be fully cognizant of it prior to its
implementation.
During the
Opening program, the induction of the incoming CBOT officers of the PLAI-STRLC
for 2015-2016 will be held with Br. Joaquin S. Martinez, FSC, De La Salle Lipa
President and Chancellor as the inducting officer.
In view of this,
we would like to invite you and your staff to attend the Forum and registration
will starts at 8:00am. A minimal registration fee of PhP 500.00 will be
collected to cover for the snacks & lunch, and other incidental expenses. Licensed
librarians are also encouraged to pay / settle their PLAI annual dues of PhP
300.00.
