The Philippine Librarian's Association Inc. - Southern Tagalog Region Librarians Council (PLAI-STRLC) is inviting all librarians, information specialists and library support staff to a forum on "Continuing Professional Education for Librarians" on 18 April 2007 at Lyceum of Batangas Le Cafe, Capitol Site, Batangas City. The resource speaker will be Prof. Corazon M. Nera, PRC Board for Librarians and Director of Libraries, Lyceum of the Philippines University. After the forum, librarians and library staff working within the Batangas province will convene and meet as a group to establish the Batangas Librarians Association (BLA). This association will become one of the provincial chapters of the Philippine Librarian's Association Inc. - Southern Tagalog Region Librarians Council (PLAI-STRLC).
