Filipiniana Books for College Libraries

The PAARL forum last July 26, 2007 at the SM Megatrade Hall also launched the completed PAARL project done in collaboration with the UP Diliman University Libary. Ms Florenda Mallari, the project leader, talks about theFilipiniana Books for College Libraries”, ©2007. This 479 pages bibliographical tool for building Filipinina collection in the social sciences (or the electronic format in cdrom) consisted of 5000+ citations of significant Filipiniana book titles culled from various sources published on or before 2005.

[please click the image(s) to view a much clearer resolution or to read the text in the cdrom]

Hopefully, the PAARL Board will announce soon the cost of each printed copy or cdrom before the 28th MIBF so that we could purchase our copy during the book fair. Then later on, we could determine the ratio and/or percentages of our current Filipiniana social sciences holdings vis-à-vis those listed in the bibliography (RBManlangit).

(Thanks to Ma'am Flor Mallari for the images & CIP.)
