The PLAI-BRLC (PLAI-Bicol Region Librarian's Council) already uploaded the powerpoint presentation (in slideshare format) of Prof. Thelma S. Kim entitled "Public Relations and Marketing Skills for Librarians" delivered during the Seminar-Workshop on "Developing Competencies of Librarians / Information Specialists for Quality Service" held last September 29, 2007 at Aquinas University Gymnasium, Rawis, Legazpi City." The increasing number of uploaded presentation/paper delivered in seminars/conferences/fora in the sponsoring institution/association website will definitely alter the way CPE (Continuing Professional Education) are being conducted in the country at least initially among librarians.
BFL in coordination with PLAI, being the accredited & recognized national association of librarian by PRC must see to it that sponsoring library association/institution submit the list of seminar/conference/forum participants at least one week after said activity for reference and authentication purposes of attended CPE of the librarians. The national association must also issue clear policy or guideline on this regard and develop form(s) [template] to fill-up that will help to speed-up the documentation process of any librarian association activity.
