Induction of 2008 STRLC Council Officers

The first set of 2008 PLAI-STRLC Council Officers were inducted to office last December 7, 2007 during the CLASS annual seminar entitled "The New Face of the 21st Century Libraries and Information Specialists" held at the La Sallete Retreat House, Biga, Silang, Cavite. The PLAI President, Ms. Susima L. Gonzales served as inducting officer.

The following were inducted to office that day: Marcial R. Batiancila (Chair), Audrey G. Anday (Vice-Chair), Rene B. Manlangit (Secretary), Freya Faye Perez (BOD), Jhenny P. Encina and Michael John Tolentino (STRLC HOD), Charity R. Mahusay (Chair, NOMELEC ), Joyce Pascua and Rowena Andaya (Members, NOMELEC)


UPDATE (January 2008)
Some of the elected officers who were not able to join the December oathtaking were inducted by PLAI-STRLC Chair, Mr. Marcial R. Batiancila during the Council officers' first meeting last January 15, 2008 at the St Thomas of Billanova Libraries, San Sebastian College de Cavite, Sta Cruz, Cavite City.

Included in the second batch of inductees were: Rosario A. Villamater (Treasurer), Jenalyn Pancho (Member, NOMELEC), Aurora A. Navela (QLA representative) and Ma. Merconi Fermanejo (CLASS representative).

Hopefully by the February meeting, the rest of the other elected PLAI-STRLC Council Officers would be inducted to office. (AGAnday)
