Cascading the IFLA-FAIFE Internet Manifesto to the Regional Level

The STRLC participants with PLAI President, Ms. Lilia Echiverri, and the resource speakers, Atty. Antonio Santos, Marcial R. Batiancila, Audrey G. Anday, Sonia M. Gementiza and Augusta Rosario A. Villamater (June 25, 2009).

Inspite of the weather condition the day before the seminar proper, PLAI-STRLC officers decided to push through with the scheduled IFLA-FAIFE Seminar-Workshop on the Internet Manifesto last June 25-26, 2009 at the La Salette Retreat Center, Barangay Biga, Silang, Cavite.

This activity is the part of the second phase of the Internet Manifesto Implementation in the Philippines after the successful Train the Trainors Workshop last April 27-28, 2009.

There were 20 attendees who braved through the rain and participated in the two-day seminar. Attendees composed of librarians from the provinces of Cavite (12), Laguna (3), Rizal (2) and Quezon (3). The attendees were manageable and thus the discussion was light, informal but engaging.

The STRLC participants taken on June 26, 2009. It was indeed a beautiful day.
