2018 Marina G. Dayrit Lecture Series
The 2018 Marina G. Dayrit Lecture Series (MGDLS) is one of the longest running lecture series offered to professional librarians and Library and Information Science (LIS) students in the Philippines. This year, the MGDLS’ theme is “The Push to Research and Publish: Reskilling Librarians towards Becoming Practitioner-Authors”.
Participants in the 2018 MGDLS are expected to: (a) gain basic knowledge of scholarly research, publication, and academic writing; (b) demonstrate knowledge of scholarly research by formulating relevant research problems, research questions, data analyses, conclusions, and recommendations; (c) recognize appropriate use of research methodologies, data gathering procedures, and data analysis techniques, (d) discover avenues and opportunities for publishing research manuscripts; and (e) determine the importance of ethics in research and publication.
CHED endorsement and CPD points for this lecture series are available.
Priority will be given to those who register online.
