This symposium aims to bring together librarians, LIS teachers, researchers, media specialists, educators and students to exchange knowledge and experience and discuss current practices, developments and challenges in information literacy, both in practice and theory.

This is part of the activities lined up for our annual information literacy campaign called IamInfoSMART with the theme "Outgaming Misinformation: MIL Does the Mending” which will be held from November 27-29, 2017.

A certificate of participation will be given to those who will attend this symposium. Certificates may earn CPD points if filed under Self-directed Learning.

IaminfoSMART Symposium 2016

We are happy to announce that the IamInfoSMART 2016 Symposium with the theme, “Information Literacy: Strategies and Challenges" will be held on 10 November 2016 (Thursday), 1:00PM – 5:00PM at the 12/F, Animo Labs, The Learning Commons, Henry Sy Sr. Hall, De La Salle University, Taft Avenue, Manila.

This symposium aims to bring together librarians, LIS teachers, researchers, media specialists, educators and students to exchange knowledge and experience and discuss current practices, developments and challenges in information literacy, both in practice and theory.

Certificate of participation will be given to those who will attend this symposium. Registration is free of charge, but on a first-come, first-served basis. Interested participants are required to pre-register online due to limited number of slots (maximum of 120 participants).

The DLSU Libraries will be holding a free symposium on “Information Literacy and Research Practices : Ethical and Smarter Solutions for Information Use" to be held at the Exhibit Area, The Learning Commons on 5 November 2015 (Thursday), 1:00PM – 5:00PM.

Librarians, library administrators, faculty and students of LIS, and library volunteers are invited to participate in this symposium. Interested participants are requested to pre-register online not later than 4 November 2015 (Wednesday). Registration is free of charge, but on a first-come, first-served basis.
