Call for Papers : Journal of Philippine Librarianship


The Journal of Philippine Librarianship (JPL) is the annual peer reviewed journal of the UP School of Library and Information Studies (UP SLIS). JPL is under the Research and Publications Committee of the UP SLIS and this publication seeks to chronicle, describe, and discuss the developments and various issues in the field of library and information science.

The Research and Publications Committee invites submission of papers (research, technical, or conceptual) about the following topics:

Archives Studies
Collection Management
Health and Medical Librarianship
History of the Book, Libraries and the Evolution of the Profession
Information Analysis (Cataloging and Classification, Indexing and Abstracting, Thesaurus Construction)
Information Systems for Libraries and Information Centers
Issues and Trends in Management of Library and Information Centers
Law Librarianship
New Trends and Innovations in Reference and other Reader services
Philosophy, Ethics, Core Competencies, Legal Framework and Standards in Library and Information work and
Preservation and Conservation of Collections

Literature/book reviews, commentary, and viewpoints or opinions are also welcome for evaluation and publication.
