1st Archives and Records Management Census
Good afternoon everyone!
We would like to once again invite all records managers and archivists in the community to please participate in the first Archives and Records Management Census in the Philippines.
ARC Philippines is part of an effort by the University of the Philippines School of Library and Information Studies, funded by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, to provide baseline data on the current state of archiving and records management in the country. The census focuses on identifying and understanding the profession through profiling and examining the background, characteristics, and needs of archivists and records managers across varying institutions and contexts. As a pilot census, this endeavor hopes to provide for the first time a scientifically sound measurement and a suitable framework for future studies on archiving and records management in the Philippines.
This census is specifically targeted to personnel who are currently employed in an office handling records and/or archives in their day-to-day operations. Every response is important as it will assist the UP SLIS in developing a graduate program / certificate course on the interrelated disciplines of archives and records management which will be offered to all individuals working in the records/archives profession.
We are encouraging you to please answer both the individual and institutional surveys. Feel free to share these links to your fellow archivists and/or records managers. We could also visit your institution to administer our surveys.
Thank you very much!
