Call for applications : PAARL Grant for Sponsorship

This grant shall enable the member to attend and participate in the PAARL 2015 National Summer Conference on "Transcending Roles of Information Professionals : Going Beyond Concepts, Exceeding Expectations" to be held in Cagayan De Oro City on April 22‐24, 2015

COVERAGE:

The grant shall cover the Conference Registration Fee Only

ELIGIBILITY:

Applicants to this grant must meet the following qualifications:

1-PAARL membership for the last five (5) years

2-Permanent employment in an academic or research library

3-Must NOT BE a recipient of a previous PAARL grant

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

1- Submit a committed letter of application and a well-organized CV attached to the letter;

2- Declare in the application that applicant shall shoulder other costs not covered by the grant (i.e. travel to the conference venue, accommodation, etc.); and

3- Declare in the application letter the applicant's commitment to write a report on his/her attendance and participation in the conference (to be submitted within fifteen (15) days after the Conference, for publication in the PAARL Newsletter)

4- Submit proof of membership fee payment (when required)

Call for Applications: PAARL Master's Thesis Grant

This grant shall assist a member in his/her Master's Thesis through a Cash Award of Ten Thousand Pesos (Php10,000) to be given in two (2) installments (50% upon approval of application, and remaining 50% upon submission of the thesis)

Requirements of the Grant:

1- Letter of application, accompanied by a research proposal describing the research work to be undertaken, including its significance and the proposed methodology to be used

Schedule for completion

2- Budget and budget justification for items for which support is sought (such as printing and binding, statistical consulting, typing or encoding time, transportation, supplies, and similar expenses)

3- Letter from thesis adviser endorsing the proposal

4- Curriculum Vitae (with recent photo)

5- Copy of the thesis after completion and approval

Eligibility:

Applicant must meet the following qualifications:

1- Completion of all academic requirements for the masteral program

2- Approved thesis proposal

3- PAARL membership for the last three years

4- Not a recipient of a similar thesis assistance or grant from any other organization or institution
