LIS Books ©2005-07 for Acquisition

The 11th Philippine Academic Book Fair sponsored by the Association of Booksellers for the Academe and the Professions (ABAP) on July 25-29, 2007 at Megatrade Hall, SM Megamall and the 28th Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) on 29 August-2 September 2007 at World Trade Center are here again this 1st semester to lure our annual library budget. Last May 10-13, 2007, this annual book fair ritual kicked off with the holding of the Book World Fair held at World Trade Center as part of the World of Knowledge five-tiered exhibit. Librarians and their respective faculty members’ eagerly troops to this annual book fair. The race to search for publications needed in their home institution instruction, curricular, research, recreational, even personal and other needs is the embodying goal of everyone.

As usual, books or publications dedicated to our own professional growth and development are not prioritized simply because we are unaware of its existence prior to the exhibit. To help us decide if we really need to purchase such publications, we have compiled a list of LIS books below published with ©2005-2007 for your consideration. Aside from the basic bibliographic information of such publication, we have added the TOC and LCSH to facilitate our decision making process (RBManlangit).

This will be held on June 1-2, 2007 at the Instructional Technology Center, Ateneo de Manila High School, Loyola Heights, Quezon City.
