PRC-BFL Resolution no. 1 s.2016 - Standards for Special Libraries

The Board for Librarians (BFL) issued Resolution No. 1 s. 2016 entitled "Prescription, Issuance, and Promulgation of the Standards for Special Libraries in the Philippines" last 17 June 2016 and was published in the printed copy of the Official Gazette as of 19 September 2016 with date of effectivity of 4 October 2016 following the lapsed of 15 days after its complete publication.

Records and Information Resource Management

There will be a three-day seminar-workshop on "RECORDS AND INFORMATION RESOURCE MANAGEMENT" on April 25-27, 2007 at El Cielito Inn, Baguio City. This seminar-workshop is being organized by the Association of Special Libraries of the Philippines (ASLP). Librarians, library administrators, archivist, records managers, record officers, teachers and students of Library & Information Science and other information specialist are the target participants.

The objectives of the seminar-workshop are: to increase awareness on the benefits of a well-organized and well-managed records; learn the importance of retention schedules and identifying and protecting vital records; develop the skills and knowledge of the current procedures, technologies and applications in records and information resources; and apply the best practice applicable in the respective workplace.

Seminar fees are as follows:

P4,800 - live-in (includes accomodation, meals, kits, handouts & certificates)*
P4,000 - live out (includes meals, kits, handouts & certificates)
P4,000 - live-in accompanying person (includes accomodation & meals)

* P4,600 - live -in EARLY BIRDS who will pay on or before April 15, 2007 and/or paid ASLP 2006 members
